Hello from Seattle and Julia’s Wedding Reception

25 Oct

I am re-activating this blog after way too long because I want to share with everyone a glimpse of the quick visit Maggie and Anjali were able to make to Seattle.  They drove up from Kate’s home in Portland, all three of them in the pouring NW rain, to attend Julia’s Wedding Reception in North Bend, just East of Seattle.  It was held in an old refurbished barn at Mountain Meadows at the foot of Mt. Si which Anjali said reminded her very much of Nepal.  It is a beautiful place where many big Seattle companies like Microsoft hold their company picnics so that thousands of employees can attend all at once.

Here is a short video in which Julia, Maggie and Anjali greet the Kopila Kids and introduce Aaron, Julia’s Husband, a paramedic, and already a Kopila Volunteer in waiting to come over.

And here is a dance Julia has been waiting almost a year to do for you – A Nepali dance at her Wedding Reception.  How wonderful it was to have Maggie and Anjali here to do it with her.  I think all the K Kids can tell us who the best dancer in this video is….right?

It is great blogging with you all again.  I am sorry I have been away from it so long, and I will try to do better in the months ahead.  I am working hard at my job to save up to come over for another visit I hope to make early next year.  Please understand if I had my way I would either be there or be blogging to and for you.  Love to all, Uncle Ed
